I arrived at the very small town of Millersburg, PA then met up with friends for dinner after a short nap.
We then drove to the Ned Smith Center for Nature and Art and made it just in time to hear the opening remarks and to see the trailer that was created to advertise the festival.
Film director Jim Hollenbaugh then gave a brief lecture on Bigfoot in film and the different ways the creature is portrayed. He then introduced 2 films by George Kuchar, "The Hairy Horror", which was kind of a weird trip inside Kuchar's head...then the now infamous short film, "Yolanda" which was about a frustrated housewife who becomes obsessed with Bigfoot. The movie was very artsy, but ended up being too pornographic for some of the members of the audience. That's all I'm gonna say about that!
We then headed back to the "lodge" which is short for "motor lodge" and retired to our respective rooms. To blog. More to come tomorrow!
