Dave Coleman Finally Delivers!

After years of researching the Bigfoot film genre, Dave Coleman has finally completed his book,
The Bigfoot Filmography
Fictional and Documentary Appearances in Film and Television

"The book was written over a year and a half of research and interviewing, but actually, much longer, in the sense that I have been a life-long Sasquatch film fan and never stopped 'researching' the Bigfoot films since about age 8 or so."

"It was weird, because, in order to write about the Bigfoot genre, you had to first define exactly what is and isn't a 'Bigfoot movie', per se. So in this sense, I was lucky enough to be able to write about a childhood fascination AND help define a new genre in film. That's a lucky one-two punch I'll probably never see again as a published writer, odds are."~Dave Coleman

About the Book
The "Sasquatch" film genre, devoted to the legendary and notoriously elusive creature also known as Bigfoot, and its Himalayan counterpart, the Yeti, is the focus of this illustrated reference guide. Here is a fascinatingly detailed look at the cinematic history of Sasquatch, from the earliest trick films of Georges Melies to the most up-to-date CGI efforts. Critical insights regarding the genre’s development are offered, along with an exhaustively researched filmography that includes every known film or television appearance of Sasquatch, Bigfoot and Yeti in both fictitious and documentary formats. Included are in-depth interviews with such filmmakers as Kevin Tenney, Adam Muto, Ryan Schifrin, Tim Skousen and Michael Worten, as well as reproductions of rare movie stills, posters, lobby cards and behind-the-scenes production photos. Renowned cryptozoologist Loren Coleman provides an insightful foreword to the text.

About the Author
David Coleman has written screenplays for such Hollywood talents as Michael Douglas and Philip Noyce. An independent film distributor and author of numerous magazine articles, he is also the creator of the videostreaming website Bijou Cafe.com.

Lair of the Beasts: Proof of Bigfoot-By NIck Redfern

Lair of the Beasts: Proof of Bigfoot
Monstrous Problems

By Nick Redfern July 30, 2011

Bigfoot and Proof
© N/A

Just a few days ago I was lecturing in San Antonio, Texas on the subject of my most recent book, The Real Men in Black. Although the lecture was primarily UFO-based, after it was over one of the attendees came up to me and asked: “What will happen if we find Bigfoot?”

Well, I replied that it would be great news for those of that look for such things, as, finally, we would no longer be viewed as the crazies and whackos that many assume us to be!

Afterwards, however, I began to ponder deeper on that particular question. And, doing so raised a number of thought-provoking issues – granted, they’re all highly speculative but, in my mind, they’re worth considering.

Let’s say tomorrow – and in an admittedly incredible stroke of luck – someone out in the woods stumbles upon the newly-dead body of a Bigfoot. They call the police, the FBI, the media, maybe even the White House! And, within hours, the entire world finally knows the amazing truth: Bigfoot is real.

On the plus side, such an astonishing discovery might very well mean that mainstream science and conventional zoology would be prepared to accept the possibility that other “disputed creatures” – such as the beasts of Loch Ness, Scotland; the Abominable Snowman of the Himalayas; Ogopogo; sea-serpents and more – also exist. And, that being so, perhaps this might result in funding from official bodies to assist in the search for such creatures. All of this would be very good news.

Proving the existence of Bigfoot might not be so profitable for everyone, however. What if, upon analysis of the corpse of the creature, Bigfoot is indeed shown to be an unknown type of ape, and a very rare one, too? Might that result in the location where the beast was found being declared “No Go” for most of us, due to the probable scarcity of the creatures?

Might we see whole swathes of forest and woodland indefinitely closed to the American public, all as a result of concerns that we are infringing upon the territory of unique creatures that the government decides to place on the endangered-species list?

Similarly, what about the logging industry? Could official legislation force the industry to suspend its work anywhere, and possibly everywhere, that Bigfoot creatures are seen or even rumored to live? That may be extremely good news for Bigfoot, but not for those significant numbers of people whose livelihood comes from chopping down trees.

Hell, the economy is in bad enough shape already without Bigfoot being responsible for causing additional job-losses!

There’s another scenario, too: let’s address the possibility that we don’t stumble upon the body of a Bigfoot. Instead, let’s hypothesize that a hunter – out in the woods, looking for deer – sees a Bigfoot in his gun-sights, fires, and slays the beast with one shot.

Doubtless, in his world - if in no-one else’s - Mr. Hunter would feel like a real man. And, no doubt, his mind would immediately be filled with images of seeing Bigfoot’s head mounted on his living-room wall. Yep, real macho, I don’t think. But, guess what: that pathetic creature (the hunter, I mean, not Bigfoot) might be in for a Sasquatch-sized surprise.

If, one day, we do secure a Bigfoot corpse, then an in-depth autopsy will be essential. But, can you imagine the uproar and controversy that will manifest if the Bigfoot entities are found - upon study – not to be unknown apes, but a primitive and ancient off-shoot of the Human Race? Rather than slaying a monster, has our hunter actually just committed cold-blooded murder? Could he be tried in court, sentenced, and even jailed? Probably not, due to the overwhelmingly bizarre, and certainly unique, circumstances involved.

However, it would likely be a given that from immediately thereafter laws would be laid down informing people that if you kill a Bigfoot you are technically taking the life of a fellow-human, albeit one distantly related to Homo Sapiens – but still a human, nevertheless. And, duly warned, you may find yourself prosecuted to the full extent of the law if you do choose to go ahead and bag a Bigfoot.

Of course, all of the above is strictly theoretical and is dependent on several things: that Bigfoot exist (Duh!), that they are flesh-and-blood beasts (rather than being paranormal, as some – including me – are inclined not to dismiss as a very real possibility), and that we actually are fortunate enough to find hard proof one of these days.

But if, one day, we do strike gold and secure such amazing evidence, there’s only one thing we can say with any degree of certainty: it’s going to be after Bigfoot is shot, stumbled upon, or discovered that we will see the really interesting – and possibly a few totally unanticipated – developments begin to surface…

Retired US Forest Service Ranger Claims Sasquatch is Real!

In January of 2000, family members who lived in a residence on the outskirts of Honobia, Oklahoma were being terrorized by several aggressive Bigfoot. They feared for their safety and sent out a plea to the BFRO, "Too many incidents to mention here, please have someone contact us. This is no hoax and my brother is afraid for his family. This creature is getting bolder every time it returns. This thing is huge, walks upright, smells like a musky urine, burned hair type odor. He repeatedly comes back in the early morning hours after midnight and harasses them until just before dawn. It has on more than one occasion tried to enter their home. We don't know where to turn. Everyone thinks we are crazy when we mention it. Please, we don't know what to do but I do know that something needs to be done! There are stories we could tell that would make the hair stand on your neck..."

Now, eleven years later, retired US Forest Service Ranger Charles Branson provides for us an inside look at what we have always assumed, the government is aware of these creatures.

Honobia is a very remote area, a little over 20 miles to the bigger town of Talahina. I've been to Honobia several times and it is quite humbling when you are out there with no cell phone coverage! It isn't hard to believe that many large creatures can hide in the surrounding mountains.
On my last trip there, we stayed in a trailer at the base of Gobbler's Knob and the hunters rode their 4-wheelers all night long hunting turkey. Our friends up the road discovered that a large bear was also traveling between the residences looking for food. There was quite the abundance of wildlife!
When I was in Honobia with the MABRC in May of 2009, me and two other girls had been hiking quite awhile and had run out of water and were heading in the wrong direction. I turned around to head back to camp to get water and a 4 wheeler to go back and collect the girls. I was walking alone when I was "charged" by something heavy with golden hair to the right of me. I could see it moving quickly through the trees. I kept my pace, not knowing if I had startled an elk or if that was one of our hairy friends. Something was out there!

Watch the clip below of the interview with Charles Branson.

The Olympic Project

I was reading the account as told by Derek Randles and being that I have met and I do respect Paul Graves, I am intrigued by this story. I am sharing this story with you and I hope we hear something positive soon.

The Sierra Shooting
This incident occurred in October of 2010 in Northern California. The persons involved will be known as Hunter 1, and Hunter 2. Hunter 1 is the shooter. Hunter 2 was driving the vehicle.

While driving down a dirt road looking for bear, hunter 1 and hunter 2 were noticing large piles of feces along their route. They commented on the amount they were seeing, and at the strange nature of it. They were having a rough time figuring out what was responsible. To big for Cougar, and didn't appear to be bear. It is important to note that they were hunting at considerable elevation. It's also important to note that they were legally hunting, with appropriate bear tags in a legal hunting area.

As the truck came around a corner they both noticed a large hair covered figure standing approx 80 to 100 yards in a meadow off to the side of the road. ( On the Bigfoot forum I previously said it was off to the left, that was my mistake, it was actually off to the right of the road.) The figure was standing on two legs with it's arms above it's head. It took roughly eight to ten steps toward the vehicle. The arms were moving a little either because it was walking, or it was intensionally swaying them. It was dirty grey in color with some black mixed in. The figure was very large. Hunter 1 decided it had to be a bear. It was completely hair covered, and from that distance good definition was impossible. Hunter 1 got out of the truck and leaned against the door aiming his riffle at the figure. He does admit that it looked strange but in his mind it had to be a bear. He did not believe in Bigfoot at that time. Hunter 2 was now looking at the figure and said " I'm not sure that's a bear". The shot was fired hitting it's mark in the chest region. The figure went down. It got back up immediately and started running on two legs, and then on all fours. It went from two legs to four legs a couple of times before it left view. A short time later they were very sure they heard it crash into the brush, although they never did confirm this. They couldn't believe what they were seeing.

They exited the truck and started across the meadow still wondering what just happened. When they reached the spot where it was standing they noticed movement in the nearby brush. Two smaller figures appeared from the brush and started circling around their position. The smaller ones were totally hair covered, but were much more black in color. They would go back and forth from two legs to four. They were exhibiting some type of chatter back and forth to each other. Hunter 1 and Hunter 2 described them as a cross between a gorilla and a bear. They said that they had very large heads, almost too big for their bodies. They also stated that the little ones had a much flatter face than a bear. They spent as much time on two legs as they did on four. The smaller figures began getting closer and closer, at on point, just a few yards. One of them climbed up a small outcrop above hunter 1. Hunter 1 started to get the feeling he might be attacked. He made a quick decision, turned and fired. The figure went down and rolled right down to Hunter 1's location. He lifted it up, and then placed it in the brush. They then decided that they needed to leave, now.

I, Derek Randles was put in touch with the hunters about two weeks later. I interviewed them both by phone extensively, and separately. I found that their story matched perfectly with no inconsistency's. I could also tell that they were natural and not rehearsed. Consequently, I've spent many many hour talking with hunter 1 one about all aspects of the story, and I completely believe him.

I then urged hunter 1 to return to the site and look around for any evidence from the incident. Upon returning they were greeted with roughly two feet of snow. The little one was not found. They concentrated their efforts in the area where they thought they heard the larger one go down. After digging though the snow for many hours they were able to find a piece of flesh, greasy fat and hair, but no body. The flesh and hair matched the color of the larger one exactly. White gray hair with some black in it.

I then asked him to forward a small piece of the flesh to Dr. Ketchum to have it analyzed for the current DNA study she's involved in. I cannot speak to the results at this time due to an NDA I've signed, but I will say that I 100% believe the story. Read into that what you will.

The site has been under snow since last November. Further study of the site is ongoing. To date, no bodies have been recovered or found. If and when a body or remains is discovered, the appropriate authority's will be notified.

The Olympic Project and Dr. Melba Ketchum do not advocate or condone the killing of a Sasquatch to advance science. That being said, if this sample can help with species verification and protection, then some good can come from a unfortunate incident. It's also important to note that this is but one of over a hundred samples the Olympic Project has contributed to this study.

Updates on this story will be available on this web site, and the story in it's entirety will be told by Hunter 1 when the time is right.

Thank You,
Derek Randles.

Squatchy Ohio

This report comes from my dear friend and fellow researcher Bob Durdella.
I have stated before that Bob is very dedicated and professional in his research and I consider him to be one of the best field researchers around! :)
Without any further ado, heeeeeeeere's Bob!
~This is a new structure I found July 8th, 2011 in a park that is only about 3 miles from me. This structure is 300 feet down creek from a TP structure that I found in December of 2008 ( see picture "D"). This TP structure has gone through many changes since I found it... most notable is the entrance way location was changed, many more sticks were added to the outside and a nice big "X" marker was incorporated to the outside of the TP.
I'm not making any claims that these are Squatch made structures but from my observations and experiences in this area over the past 3 years I lean more toward them being Squatch made than human made.
This is a park so there is no hunting allowed ( the Squatches don't know this) and I don't see any evidence around these structures that humans made them such as empty food wrappers, cigarette butts and bottles. I talked to some park personnel about the TP I found in 2008 and they said these things keep on popping up in the same general area. They have knocked down a few of them over the years although the TP structure has been left alone by the park personnel since I found it in 2008.

This park has a good size deer population. The structures are near an area where people are leaving big piles of corn to feed them. Besides the structures being right on a creek there is also a large pond and a marsh that the pond drains into about 1000 feet away. There are resident Bald Eagles in the area and Black Bears are seen from time to time. There are plenty of patches of Black Berries around for the bears and Squatches.
Nothing is occupying the structures during the day so it is my guess these may be used as deer hunting blinds at night if they are made by the local Squatches.

Over the last three years within a couple mile radius of these structures I've found many other structures in the woods, I've heard wood knocks, have recorded wood knocks from night time, have found a few prints, not real distinct but good enough to know they are prints, and have been gifted at a place I leave apples and pears from time to time. There is also a BFRO report from here. I tried to get the link but can't get a connection to their report archives. For some reason this has been happening a lot lately... probably because of all the traffic the site is getting due to the interest generated by the "Finding Bigfoot" series.

It would be nice if one of these Bigfoot/Sasquatch DNA studies I keep hearing about would be completed and made public so less people would think I'm nuts talking about stuff like these structures I've found. On the bright side though there are a lot of people that think it is possible that these creatures do exist. What I'm referring to is back a few years ago when there was a hoax by 2 guys from Georgia claiming to have a Bigfoot body in a freezer. At that time one of the major TV news networks reporting on this had a poll asking the public if they thought it was possible that these creatures do exist and it came back that about 43 % of the population said "yes".

Hey there

Well I guess to the world I am a drunken, gullible idiot. I thought I was just writing stories for their entertainment value but it appears I am supposed to be an investigative reporter. So I'm told.

I go out into the field and I report on the events that transpire. I don't make things up, I don't cover things up. It is what it is. Just as I am what I am.

I'm human. I hurt. I laugh. I have too much to drink at times. I get angry. I love, and I am heart-broken.

I know many of you enjoy my stories and you understand that I write them for entertainment value and to promote any and all researchers who I have the honor of going out into the field with.

I guess now I have to let others decide who or what I write about and if it comes down to that, I should probably just hang it up because it won't really belong to me anymore.

All I know is that there are thousands of researchers in the woods every weekend and not one of them has ever come up with anything other than probable evidence.

So where do they all get off telling me how to do my job? Here I am trying to unite researchers from coast to coast, only to find out there are cliques and social tiers and popularity contests. Way to go guys, that'll get you closer to finding the truth.

So what if I went into the woods with Biscardi? It was quite boring actually. I have been in the field with Eric Altman, Don Keating, members of the MABRC and other independent researchers and always with the same results. We have a good time, we get in the woods, we hike we tell stories, I take pictures and write a nice little piece for my little blog.

I'm not saving lives. No one is finding Bigfoot. Yet more books are being written and conferences being held and DVD's being sold. But we are no closer than we were 40 years ago.

So everyone please take a fucking chill pill. This is Bigfoot Research, not Rocket Science.

Let's give each other a fucking break.

Melba Toasted

In my opinion
It is immoral, unethical, unprofessional and illegal for a person who is paid to provide a service to claim ownership of the property of another.
If I take my diamonds to an appraiser and pay him for his service of appraising said diamonds, and one of those diamonds turns out to be a very rare diamond, the appraiser cannot retain ownership of my diamond. He/she would provide the appraisal for which he was commissioned and would return the property to its rightful owner.

Melba is selling her "scientific" findings to the highest bidder. She has 19 claims against her because she simply is not capable of providing the service for which she claims. She has not returned DNA evidence that she has received from other researchers. She did not partake in the harvesting of the evidence.
She was paid for her service of analyzing the samples. For her to demand to be included in the payout if some samples proved to be that of a Bigfoot is unethical.
Rumor has it that Richard Substad and Tom Biscardi have pioneered and promoted Melba and have not received their samples back. I’ll give Tom a call and get back to you on that.

I believe that Adrian has paid her dearly to hear the words he WANTS to hear. I have heard that the figure is in the $70,000 range. If you paid me $70,000, I'd tell you your shit smells like roses and that you were the most undeniably handsome man this world has ever seen. Everyone has a price.
Second, if there were 2 bodies that could be touched, poked, prodded and dissected, the piece of paper that would be the DNA results would be a small contributor to the discovery. If you can provide the bodies, we can wait on the DNA, not the other way around.

Are we in it for the money? Let me ask you, if you could quit your job to pursue your Bigfoot investigations, wouldn't you? But only if you could still pay your mortgage, car payment, utilities etc.

Every one of us with a passion for Bigfoot research would do it for a living if we could. However, to knowingly deceive another person for your own personal gain is disgusting.

Mountain Lion Spotted Near Prime Squatch Research Areas

Mountain lion attacking livestock?

NEW CONCORD -- A menace seems to be prowling the fields and forests a few miles west of the Guernsey County line.
Muskingum County neighbors, Sally Metzger and Sherry Pickens, believe that a mountain lion is at large and preying on the cattle on Pickens' ranch.
The women became aware of the lion several months ago.
Metzger had been visiting her friend when she stepped outside at about 6:30 in the evening to head home. She looked across the road at the field and spotted the animal about 300 yards away.
"I said, 'Sherry, what's that in your field?' She said, 'That's a lion."
That was "the Friday after Easter."
They found the sight unnerving, but they put it at the back of their minds.
Then, in the past 15 days, four calves have been killed.
And, just a week ago, a cow was attacked, receiving a vicious laceration on its nostril.
On Monday, a hunter familiar with mountain lions, also known as cougars, stopped at Pickens' farm to investigate.
"He took one look [at the cow's wound] and said, 'Yep, that's a cat attack,'" Metzger said.
Pickens' son, J. J. Black, said that some people may believe the calves were attacked by coyotes.
"But the hunter said coyotes don't take on a full-grown cow," J.J. said.
Last fall, another cow was attacked, its face so severely injured that one of its eyes had popped out.
Pickens described the cat as a buckskin color, about 3 to 4 feet long and about 2 1/2 feet tall.
The hunter, who requested anonymity, said he definitely believes that there is a big cat on the prowl in the area.
Portions of the 300-acre farm are very rugged, with outcroppings of large rocks ideal for a secretive mountain lion, he said.
The hunter suggested that Pickens buy a donkey or two to mix in with the herd. Once the donkey bonds with the herd, it will be protective of the cattle. He also advised Pickens to take precautions for personal safety.
"He said she shouldn't walk around out here without a firearm," Metzger said.

A Perfectly Formed Cedar?

Via Cryptomundo

The man responsible for the video has stepped forward to comment. Here it is, unedited:
My name is Robert W Kryder. I shot and did the best job I could producing the vid. I did not and don’t want to prove anything to anyone. I just don’t care what anyone believes about this vid. It is what it is and that is REAL. I shared this to offer something for others to enjoy and use to gain more understanding … I already have recognition, respect and I am known for my honesty and integrity. I have nothing to gain from showing this other than friends and cooperation in finding some truth.
Wow, interesting to find and read these comments. Disheartening at first, followed up by disappointment. Sad in a way. I guess I never should have posted this vid at all. I waited 10 years to do so and only did after so many people I know urged me to do so. Now I understand why other finds and evidence fails to see the light of day. Who wants to share something just to be slammed by people who weren’t there and NEVER even took the time to ask. How rude. Just sit in here and write behind my back so I can’t answer anything. Fun to suppose huh guys? We here I am now ask….
And raisinsofwrath : You are just an ass. I never wrote any of that you liar.
I really love how all those people who have NEVER had their own encounter with a BF like to say what they WILL or WONT do. Like you know a damn thing. You don’t!!!
EVERY ONE OF YOU IS ALL TALK AND WON’T GO LOOK FOR YOURSELF !!! Keep your mouth shut and fingers still if you are not willing to go see. I challenge anyone in here to put up or shut u ! You want me to prove something fine, its on your dime now lets go! No excuses, lets go! Lets GO!!!
I worked that canyon area for 8 years solid. I stayed in a tent alone there for 8 mo. without leaving once. I/we had many many encounters in the years following this first time and know without a doubt what was standing there in the pic. This is the only vid I ever got and the only daylight sighting I ever had. Collected scat several times. Saw it close dozens of times at night.
John Ed Frost yelled BF because that’s what he thought of. He said it because these people have ranched these 100’s of thousands of acres for generations and know. They aren’t sitting on a couch and many don’t have TV’s.
For myself, I clocked in over 100 mi a week on foot in the field for many years. Not my living room (which has been a tent for the most part). Even now I have had no running water, no indoor bathroom, no kitchen etc in my place. Until you live out there for months at a time you shouldn’t make comments about what animals do or don’t do, or even what ones are there.
Here’s some truth:
They will stand perfectly still. Even 10′ ft off a trail as you walk by in the dark! Many, many animals do the same thing.
It was a long way away but I thought it was right in front of us the way he yelled… It stood out like a sore thumb to john who has looked at those mesas for 20 years. I don’t think it thought we could see it. But like just about every other creature you run into out there knew I would see it if it moved. To be honest, I really don’t think it cared !! It is a huge, proud, tough MF period.
It approached very close at night over the 8 years at our research site and didn’t really seem to be scared of us that much. It only broke and ran one time when it was exposed near the road in the moonlight when we emerged from a trail going to the truck. It stood up from crouching and bolted very very fast down through some salt ceders.
There are NO people running around out there after dusk. NO ONE. They are hardcore ranchers you just don’t get it. They get up @ 4:am and go to bed @ 9:pm 7 days a week even on Christmas. And don’t run around putting out targets, siliuette, cardboard, monkey suits whatever. People here work for a living and kill things endangering their cattle on a daily basis. They don’t shoot cardboard!
You people also don’t get that not too many years ago, cameras weren’t what they are now. And that people in some places are lucky to have one at all. This vid cam used in 95′ was the first I ever had and was one of the very first small cassette cams. It was 12 optical zoom x 10 dig. Before this it was film plain and simple !! So sorry its shaky… Gee you would think if I was going to fake it I would have had a tripod and not been jogging and out of breath. Geeze.
In the real world if you have a cam at all while you hike your either really lucky or a damn tourist. Most of the time its packed in my case/pack and in those days that was the first I owned. In the real world I never carry a tripod when hiking as I am not a photographer. In the real world your lucky to get the cam turned on fast enough even if its in your hands let alone set up a tripod in time. Yet you asses think its too shaky. Ya reality sucks.
It’s funny and cad that people refuse to learn. There are those like myself who have been around these animals and no one will really make the effort to learn from them. Just because the vid isn’t the way you imagine it should be or the animal doesn’t act like you think it should…. You say its not real. I am sorry but you imagination has no basis on reality. And the reality shown here is not affected by your vision of how it should be. Real just is what it is. I dont like the damn vid either. But Im not going to trash it just because the animal didnt run for me or that I was too far away.
If anyone really wants answers please write and ask. We have scat now that was collected mid winter @ 10,000′ in the Sandia Mtn range outside Alb NM. I would love to get it analyzed. I would be happy to offer locations, scat or whatever to anyone who is serious.
If anyone would ACTUALLY like to go out and get good evidence or will listen to the facts about the animals for a change please let us/me know.
If you want references on my character that can be arranged without a problem. Even those that don’t like me will tell you If I say it I’ll do it, and If I tell you I saw something then I did and can probably show you!!!
Thank you for reading. Please have some respect for people putting themselves out there and taking a chance on ridicule. It hurts the heart. I know I don’t like it.

  • did you guys try to reach the spot of this creature see if you can find any footprint or something like comparing the size with a person ..?
  • @SLAZHER62 yes we did return 2 weeks later on the spur of the moment with the land owners son. didnt have time to prepare as his folks had said no. prints were now 2 weeks old but they looked to be around 16". I could hardly see over the hill when I stood there.
  • amazing! thanks for sharing, I've had my fair share of the unknown in the lonely badlands myself, I've also found out that not pursuing is definitely the best course of action, out there the same "rules" that operate "in here" are meaningless! good luck! great analysis!
  • @MrProphetMan Thank you.
  • crazy were you guys scared at all???
  • @jks123ish ... We were kinda in denial. It was a little un-nerving on the way back in the dark.

  • i believe you because that "bigfoot" won't move and it is said that when a bigfoot knows that a human is starting at it the don't move at all
  • @rmcdaniel423 I would totally agree and would certainly have titled it something like that had it been the only encounter with this particular "silhouette". I worked this remote area for 8 years. I stayed there alone for 8 mo. at one time in tent base camps. I encountered this "silhouette" in absolute 3-d dozens of times. full view by moonlight @ 30'. Off trail view in the dark 10'. We named him hairy and 8 people had personal encounters with it over 8 years. I collected scat & saw what it ate.
  • Instead of "Bigfoot 95", the title should read "Sorta Primate-Shaped Silhouette 95".
  • WE SHOT THIS ON VIDEO TAPE IN 95'. WE STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL VIDEO. IF ANYONE THINKS THEY CAN DO BETTER ENHANCEMENT PLEASE CONTACT US. ANYONE WHO THINKS WE ADDED DATA OR WERE DRAWING IN NEW DATA, YOUR WELCOME TO VIEW THE RAW VIDEO AND IF NEED BE COPY TO TAPE. THE AMOUNT OF DIGITAL DATA IN THESE IMAGES (RESOLUTION) IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE CAPABILITY OF THE SAMPLING HARDWARE/SOFTWARE. THIS WAS DONE WITH THE BEST AVAILABLE IN 95'. THE SOFTWARE TO FILTER THE SAMPLES WAS ALSO THE BEST IN 95'

Update on the Killing of Bigfoot

Derek Randles, founder of the Olympic Project, offers clarifying information regarding this explosive issue.
OK, it’s time to put a few things to rest. I just spoke to the “bear hunter”, who is also my friend. He is beside himself because of all the BS being spread. He’s asked me to clarify a few things here on this forum. First of all, he is not a poacher. I repeat, not a poacher. Second, it was bear season and he was hunting in a legal area with a bear tag. Please don’t ask me these things again. That’s the truth. Third, he has not killed 1000 bears. He’s killed 3 in his lifetime. Yes 3, not 1000. It’s also very important to note, he never gave Sasquatch a second thought. He was a complete skeptic. Because of his unfamiliarity with the Bigfoot subject he had no idea of what he was looking at through his riffle site. He assumed that it was a very strange looking bear that was standing on it’s hind legs. In his mind that’s all it could have been, a bear. When the bullet hit its mark, it started to become apparent that it wasn’t a bear. It did not drop right there, it ran off. They thought they heard it crash in the brush but did not see it go down. Things started getting very weird at this point. Two smaller creatures appeared from the brush, sometimes on two feet, and sometimes on all fours. In his description they looked like a cross between an ape and a bear. They got very close to him and at one point one positioned itself above him on a outcrop. He shot it out of fear of being attacked. Probably the same thing I would have done in the given circumstance. When I’m in the wilderness I always pack a gun to protect my self from wild, sometimes unpredictable animals. There are a few times I thanked God I had it. This was starting to feel like a nightmare to him and he quickly left trying to wrap his mind around what had just happened.
It’s very important to note that he doesn’t feel good about this incident. As a matter of fact he felt terrible. This was a case of miss-identification plane and simple.
At a later date a search was carried out at the site and a piece of flesh was recovered. NOT A BODY, only a small piece of flesh witch was later cut in two pieces, hence the cut line. I’ll say it one more time, no body’s were found or recovered.
It’s very unfortunate that this happened, but hopefully some good will come out of it. I’m probably going to have a whole bunch of people mad at me for talking about this, but my first obligation is to the bear hunter. He’s my friend and I gave him my word that I’m there for him. He wanted me to convey this message, so take it or leave it, it’s the truth.DR

The Adrian Erickson Project

New Erickson Project News: Bigfoot DNA Project Using Two Dead Bigfoot Bodies for Samples

Robert Lindsay

I was recently put into touch with a hunter from Western North America who is quite well known in his field. You might even say that he is famous. He and others were the subject of a recent book, and he often gives talks at various forums. He was offered a position at America’s foremost science museum but turned it down for unknown reasons.
He is considered to be at the top of his field, which I will not reveal here. He is also a hunter and travels around North America hunting. He especially likes to hunt bears. He has killed over 1,000 bears in his life, including grizzly bears. This puts him in touch with many other hunters. He is also active on taxidermy boards. He has deep ties to the Erickson Project and the Olympic Project.
He will be known anonymously as Bear Hunter in this article, as he only talked to me on the grounds that his identity was kept secret.
Robert Lindsay: Hi, what made you decide to get in touch with me?
Bear Hunter: Well, I read your article where you interviewed Richard Stubstad, and I thought, “Wow! This guy is hot on the trial! He’s really close. He’s closing in. I could not believe you had access to this information. So I decided to fill in some blanks for you.”
RL: Is there a reason why you decided to spill the beans on this hot news to me just now?
BH: Yes, I am getting very impatient with the pace of this project. You know, it’s always coming out this year, then next year, then this year again, then next year again, then this spring. It goes on and on. I’m getting tired of it. I want to jumpstart this project and tell them to get going and finish it up.
RL: You say you have some blockbuster news regarding the Erickson Project Bigfoot DNA study, right?
BH: Yes I do. But first of all, let’s start at the beginning. This all started from a thread on Taxidermy.net, a website where I hang out sometimes. There are periodic threads on Bigfoots, and in this one thread, a fellow said that he had just shot two Bigfoots! The guy is a trapper, a taxidermist and a hunter. This was blockbuster news of course, and soon there were many followup posts. Somehow the guy’s name and number got out, and there were reports of people bothering him and harassing him. He asked the webmaster, George Ruff, to shut down the thread. George shut it down.
Well, afterward, I got in touch with the guy and talked to him for a while. Others talked to him too, including Adrian Erickson and Matt Moneymaker. Tyler Huggins was involved too. Moneymaker and Huggins are with the BFRO (Bigfoot Field Research Organization). Erickson had heard of  Bigfoots getting shot, in fact, he had collected a number of stories from Canada where they get shot fairly regularly. But, as he put it, he said he had never been two weeks behind a shooting before. Everybody was frantically scrambling after this guy.
RL: How was it that the Bigfoots came to be shot, and were they killed?
BH: This fellow was hunting on the border between Nevada and California, inside California, near a game refuge. (RL: Based on my investigation, it took place in or near the Dixie Mountain Game Refuge west of Frenchman Lake on the Plumas National Forest in Plumas County. See a map here). He was poaching bears out of season, as it later turned out.
One one side of the game refuge, there was a single road in a canyon leading into and out of the refuge. Bigfoots were apparently using the game refuge, as they are safe from hunters there.
The guy was on this road when he suddenly came upon a large dirty-white Bigfoot standing in the road blocking his way. Since the narrow road was the only route in and out of the place, the Bigfoots were forced to use this road whether they wanted to or not. The Bigfoot was standing there waving its arms at him. Apparently he was telling the hunter to back up so the Bigfoot could move through, since the Bigfoot was stuck on the road.
The guy jumped out of his truck, and for some unknown reason, he shot the Bigfoot with a 25.06. The Bigfoot whirled around, and he shot it again through the side of its chest, piercing its lungs. The Bigfoot fell down dead.
Next thing he knew, he heard loud barking sounds coming from the side of the road. There were two young Bigfoots that suddenly appeared out of the cover there. They were brown-colored. Apparently they were upset that the parent Bigfoot had just been shot. For an unknown reason, the hunter aimed at one of the young Bigfoots and shot it dead!
He said it died in his arms. 4 feet tall, about 80 pounds. He told me it had a huge head, and then I knew it was a young Bigfoot, because the young ones have gigantic heads while they are still young. The head is more normal sized as they get older. Remember that “Pancake Video” from the Kentucky Project, with the young Bigfoot with the huge head that everyone was saying was a human with some birth defect? Well, that is what they look like when they are young. Have you seen the Jacobs footage that they say is a mangy bear?
RL: Yes, what is it? A bear?
BH: No way. It’s not possible. It’s a juvenile Bigfoot. You can tell by the head. Look at how huge that head is. And the neck. The thing has no neck. I know bears inside and out. I’ve shot over 1,000 of them. I love bears. No way is that a bear.
RL: What did he do with the Bigfoots?
BH: He told us that he left them lying there. There was snow on the ground, so we figured that there might still be enough time to go and get the bodies. Pretty soon though, we figured out that the guy was lying. First of all, he was poaching. Erickson confronted him about that, pointing out that bear season was closed in that area at the time. We soon figured out that he had taken the bodies, because taxidermists never leave anything they shoot in the field.
RL: What happened to the dead Bigfoots?
BH: Well, we put the guy in contact with the Olympic Project that is working on Bigfoots in Washington State. We didn’t hear much for a while, only that the OP folks said that they wanted to keep this guy out of jail. The hunter was convinced that if California figured out he shot these two Bigfoots, he was going to jail. He was really afraid of going to jail.
RL: Ok, then?
BH: Moneymaker and the BFRO were in on this too, and they were furious that they missed out on the body. Matt was hopping mad. He missed the boat.
We didn’t hear much more for a while until the Olympic Project starting sending samples to Melba Ketchum for her DNA project as part of the Erickson Project. Some of the samples that they were getting were of tissue, and they appeared to have been carved off a dead body! Some of the samples had dirty white hair, and the others had brown hair. It was obvious that the Olympic Project was sending Ketchum samples carved from the bodies of the two dead Bigfoots! Incredible!
RL: Who has the Bigfoots, the hunter or the Olympic Project?
BH: I think that the hunter still has the bodies. He has probably cut them up, cut off the heads, and has them on ice. They can last a long time like that. I don’t think that the OP wants to mess with the bodies themselves, and I don’t think the hunter is going to give them up.
We did a lot more digging, and we found that now the hunter is associated deeply with the OP. He’s part of their project. Of course the OP will not admit to anything. They deny it all, and they say they have no dead Bigfoots, and they don’t have access to any. But they are lying. It’s not true.
RL: Incredible news!
BH: Yes, there are some more things too. Notice how the Olympic Project is all over the Internet boards talking about how  they have enough Bigfoot samples to last for years? Guess why they say that? Because they have access to two dead Bigfoot bodies!
RL: Too much…Do you know about any leaks from the Erickson Project DNA study?
BH: Yes, I do as a matter of fact. They are very close to humans. Say if chimpanzees are 2 clicks away from humans, these things are maybe 3/4 of a click away.
RL: Ok, and they are in the Homo line?
BH: Yes, I am sure of that. Recall that say 50,000 YBP, there were maybe five different hominids on the planet. Homo sapiens sapiens, Homo erectus, Homo Floresiensis, Denisova, Homo heidelbergensis and Neandertal Man. All of these other hominids are gone as best as we can tell. What happened to all of them?
RL: We killed them all.
BH: Yes, we killed them all. So the only thing that could survive was something that was huge, very stealthy and wary, hated humans, favored the most remote areas, had the use of bad smell to ward off enemies, used infrasound or an intense EMF field to paralyze and disorient enemies, was very strong and had a very thick skin that was hard to penetrate. They’re the ultimate survivors of man’s genocidal wars.
RL: Do you think they are humans or apes?
BH: I don’t know. You know Bindernagel wrote that book, America’s Great Ape, but then after he saw the Bigfoots in Kentucky, he changed his mind. Now he thinks that they are hominids. But I know one fellow who saw one face to face on a trail. He said it’s ape-like, it’s an ape-man. So who knows?
RL: Do you have any info on the Kentucky Project?
BH:  do. Erickson bought that place, and he got a lot of great video out of there. He installed Dennis Pfohl and Leila Hadj-Chikh there, and they shot quite a bit of Bigfoot video. Erickson said he had so much good Bigfoot video that he was getting tired of taking pictures of them. At one point, he brought Bindernagel down there to see the Bigfoots. Bindernagel was able to see them. He also wanted to bring John Green down there, but he was very sick with prostate cancer and could not make it.
A friend of mine saw the famous video of the young female Bigfoot walking in the forest. She walks towards the camera, then sees the camerawoman, growls and turns away. He said there is no way that this could be a costume, forget it. They also shot video of a huge male at that site, but everyone is keeping very quiet about that.
RL: Do you believe that Erickson is in it for the money?
BH: I get so tired of hearing this. Erickson has sunk $3 million of his own money into this thing. $3 million! He hasn’t made one nickel back.
RL: Do you have any information about Erickson’s movie about Bigfoot?
BH: Yes, it’s finished! 100% completed. They are just waiting for the DNA study to finish up, and I have no word on that yet.
RL: Do you know if Dr. Ketchum has any TV or film interests in the works?
BH: Yes, she is involved with National Geographic. They want to do a special on Bigfoot, and she is involved in that.
RL: What’s the relationship between Bigfoots and trappers?
BH: Bigfoots hang out along traplines and raid the traplines. I heard of one case where a Bigfoot actually got caught in a trap. The Bigfoot actually extricated itself from the trap by bending the solid steel!
RL: You say you hear a lot of stories of Bigfoots getting killed?
BH: Yes, I have gotten a story about every 2 months now for some time. There are many stories coming out of Canada too. Erickson has also heard many stories. It’s the same every time. People kill it, and it looks so much like a human being that they leave it in the field because they are afraid they are going to be prosecuted for murder.
RL: I say that if you believe in Bigfoot, you must also believe in a few things. 1) People are shooting at and killing these things regularly. 2) There must be a government coverup. 3) We are photographing and videotaping Bigfoots on a fairly regular basis.
BH: I agree. As far as a government coverup, of course the government must know about these things. And I know that the timber industry knows about them. And people shoot at them or shoot them all the time.
There was a recent case in British Colombia where the Fish and Wildlife people were poisoning wolves. They are supposed to tell trappers about this, but they didn’t in this case. A trapper found a dead wolf and huge tracks leading away from it. The tracks were of a Bigfoot which had been poisoned by eating the wolf. The guy tracked it for a while, but then lost the trail.
He reported it to the Game people, but they paid him $20,000 to shut him up. They kept saying, “So, you lost 5 cougar dogs tracking that thing. That’s worth about $20,000.” He hadn’t lost any cougar dogs. He finally figured out they were offering him money to shut him up, so he took the money.
RL: What’s the motivation for the coverup?
BH: In Canada, I know they are worried about resource lockup. They are afraid it will curtail logging. I know that up there, as soon as there is a Bigfoot sighting, the timber people will get word of it and come in and clearcut the area. That’s done to drive the Bigfoot off, because they don’t want the Bigfoot on their logging land. They’re afraid it will keep them from logging the land.
RL: Do you think Bigfoots are getting habituated to humans in any way?
BH: Yes, a friend of mine in Alberta told me about a Bigfoot that is living on the outskirts of the Edmonton dump, living off the garbage, foraging food out of the trash. People tracked the thing way back into a remote area and found its nest. All sorts of stuff from the dump had been hung in trees 8-10 feet up, bicycles, chairs, you name it. The Bigfoot was decorating its home with that stuff.
RL: Wow!
BH: Yes, I have so many stories. When I go to give my talks, I always say if you have any Bigfoot stories, come up and talk to me afterward. Every time, people come up to talk to me. All sorts of people. They generally haven’t told many others about their sightings, and in all cases, they have not reported it to any private or public agency.
One guy told me how he was hunting in a swamp in the Southeast US, and he passed out from the swamp gas. The stuff can overwhelm you and make you pass out.
He woke up, and he was next to a spring. There was a huge 8-foot Bigfoot crouched down next to him, offering a cup of water from the spring. The cup had been hanging from the spring. People sometimes hang metal cups from springs. He took a drink, passed out again, and then woke up again later. The Bigfoot was still there, and it offered him another drink. He drank it and passed out again. He woke up the third time, and the Bigfoot was gone.
RL: Do you think that tracking dogs are good for tracking Bigfoots, say in order to capture one? Jeff Meldrum has been talking about that a lot lately.
BH: I think dogs are useless when it comes to tracking these things. You know, I am a hunter, and I use tracking dogs all the time. We take people out on guided hunts, and I hunt myself all the time using guides. Dogs will track anything, but they won’t track these things. The scariest dog on Earth will be reduced to a pissing, shivering, whimpering poodle hovering around his master’s leg.
I knew one guy who sent 6 dogs after a Bigfoot. Only five of them came back; the 6th was torn up. The other five dogs were so traumatized that they were useless as trackers. They would never track another animal again. And these were good tracking dogs.
RL: What do you think of Bigfoots’ use of infrasound?
BH: I am not sure that they use infrasound. You see, all animals have an EMF field that they give off, and these things do too. One of my theories is that these things have a very strong EMF field that they give off, and they may be able to manipulate it. One thing you notice is that when these things are around, everything goes quiet, and most of the animals around take off. That’s because of the strong EMF field that they give off, I think. It scares the crap out of other animals.
I know that they use this field or whatever to disorient people. Erickson said he was being chased out of the forest in Canada by one once, and he was so disoriented and delirious that he had to keep looking at the moss on the trees, because you know, moss only grows on the north? That’s because the Bigfoot was disorienting him so much that he kept getting lost.
I am going to test this theory out by buying an outfit that they sell for $100. It neutralizes your own EMF field. Supposedly, you can wear it and walk right up to animals and touch them.
RL: Were you always a Bigfoot believer?
BH: Not at all. I was a skeptic until five years ago. Then I started looking into this thing, and all of these people started coming forward, including people I had known for years and trusted completely. I started getting swamped with these stories, even people I had known a long time had stories, but they had never told me! I dove into it, started doing a lot of research, and soon it became completely obvious that these things exist. People can ridicule me all they want to, and they do, believe me. But I don’t care; I know they are real.
RL: Have you met any skeptics who saw one?
BH: More times than I could count. And many were hardcore skeptics, scofftics as you call them. But then they saw a Bigfoot, and they all changed over to believers. They said that their lives were changed completely.

Finding Bobo

Awhile back, I made a fan page for Bobo on Facebook.  The description is "For all who have met Bobo or heard stories of his amazing awesomeness!"
It started out just because I was very appreciative of his heroic measures on that fateful August day in 2009 when we almost went over the side of a hill in our vehicle at Bluff Creek.

You can view my archived blog to read the story. Click here

Anyway, I invite you to "Like" the Facebook page titled I Love James "Bobo" Fay

Bobo will be on the road for the next 3 months but will try to keep in touch with us as much as possible!

New Bigfoot Movie to Begin Filming in October

By Peter Dimako

Thriller Exists follows group on a cabin trip hunted by bigfoot.

Haxan Films and Amber Entertainment have set an October start of lensing date for Eduardo Sanchez (Blair Witch Project) Exists bigfoot thriller/horror.
Jamie Nash and Sanchez wrote the story about a group in their twenties who, after taking a trip to a cabin in the wooded wilderness, are methodically hunted down by a Bigfoot-like beast, reports Dave Variety.
Hexan's Robin Cowie, Gregg Hale and Andy Jenkins are producing alongside Jane Fleming and Mark Ordesky of Amber.
Sanchez said that the "film is the first in a trilogy exploring and reinventing the Bigfoot myth. We all remember the terror of watching such classics as 'The Legend of Boggy Creek,' and I look forward to making Bigfoot scary again."
Brian Steele, known for his work on Hellboy, Predators and the whole Underworld trilogy, will portray the bigfoot beast while Weta Workshop and Spectral Motion are working together with the production team on the build and design of the monster.
